On tonight’s programme we look at the underlying problems with the social justice movement, which is attempting to take control of the Christian Church. How should we deal with the racism of the past, and that of the present that takes place within the Church?
On tonight’s programme we respond to comments made recently by Thabiti Anyabwile on The Gospel Coalition’s blog.
“My white neighbors and Christian brethren can start by at least saying their parents and grandparents and this country are complicit in murdering a man who only preached love and justice.”
–Thabiti Anyabwile, We Await Repentance for Assassinating Dr. King
What is wrong with what was said here? Why are people upset by these comments? Do comments like these unite or divide the body of Christ?
On tonight’s programme we look at a video produced by Red Ice, an ‘alt-right’ media organisation, called ‘Am I a “White Supremacist?”‘ Is the message of the group dangerous? What do they believe about the Holocaust, Adolf Hitler, National Socialism and the white race? What does the Bible say about all this? We also look at some of the racism on the left, provided by BBC III.
On tonight’s programme we look at the mounting evidence against John Piper and Desiring God with the recently published article by desiringGod.org writer Greg Morse, which declares: “But what about being saved by faith alone? You’re not.” When it was posted on twitter it included the note: “You’re not saved through faith alone. Be killing your sin.” We also look at Lecrae and Piper’s Racial Identity Politics. Does it divide the Church?
After the election of UKIP’s new leader, Henry Bolton, what does it mean for the party? What did Bolton mean when he said the party could “easily slip towards the ideals of national socialism”? Did he really label many in the party who oppose Islam as ‘Nazis’? Where does Nigel Farage, one of the heroes of the #BREXIT movement, stand on all this? Does he accept critics of Islam within the party, or in British politics in general? Does Nigel Farage really stand for free speech at all within his own party?
